Nobunaga’s Ambition portraits and their real life inspirations (Uesugi Clan)

I figured that the Uesugi’s videos would be short, but I didn’t think I would be able to find so little. I could find almost nothing interesting regarding officers during Kenshin’s heydays, Kakizaki Kaegie is a particularly egregious bad case since his helmet has been so consistent through out the series that I was so sure it must have been a reference to something, same goes for Usami Sadamitsu’s strategist cap.

About the pun on Keiji’s flag, it goes something like this: “Tai Buhen Mono” means “Great General”, but the way the words were written on the flag, they can be read as Dai Fuben Mono, which means “Greatly Inconvenient Person”. The tale is a testament of how much a prankster Keiji is.
